RESULTS FROM MOSCOW: TERENTYEV, POTAPOV WIN By Gabriel F. Cordero PhilBoxing.com Fri, 25 Dec 2020 ![]() Middleweight Evgeny Terentyev (17-3, 8 KOs) outpointed 43-year veteran Viktor Plotnikov (33-10, 15 KOs) in ten rounds for the WBA Asia title. Plotnikov, who entered the fight with a cut across the bridge of his nose that split open and bled profusely throughout, went down in the fifth round but managed to make it to the finish. Nikolai Potapov (22-2-1, 11 KOs) WBO world bantamweight ranked # 7 and IBF # 8 won by unanimous eight-round decision over Oleksandr Hryshchuk (16-3-1, 6 KOs) Thursday night at the Soviet Wings Sport Palace in Moscow, Russia. Easy victory for Potapov as Hryshchuk was in survival mode from the opening bell. No scores were announced. Undefeated super middleweight Pavel Siliyagin (5-0, 3 KOs) impressively stopped 46-year-old veteran Siarhei Khamitski (32-20-2, 14 KOs) in four rounds. Siliyagin dropped Khamitski with a right to the body in the third round. Siliyagin scored another knockdown with a right hand behind the ear in the fourth round. Khamitski's corner was over after the fourth round. Undefeated super lightweight Valery Oganisyan (4-0, 3 KOs) emerged victorious when former world ranked Dmitry Mikhaylenko (23-8, 10 KOs) was knocked out of the corner of him after the sixth round. Good performance from Oganisyan, who wins the Russian 140-pound national title. 2016 Olympic light flyweight gold medalist Hasanboy Dusmatov (2-0, 2 KOs) crushed late substitute and rookie Odiljon Sotkinov in the first round.
