WBA #3 Ghanian Plange issues challenge to WBA 118 Champion Rigondeaux.
PhilBoxing.com Thu, 24 Dec 2020

WBA World #3 Rated Bantamweight Jesse Manyo Plange (21-0) of Ghana lived up to his moniker and made swift work of Nigerian Aminu Akintayo Floxy Place in Lagos, Nigeria in his last outing on the 12th of December.
The man known as "The Black Flash" has made the challenge to Guillermo Rigondeaux (20-1) who last saw in ring action on the 8th of February against ex World Champion Liberia Solis for the vacant WBA World Title.
Rigondeaux has not fought since and has been calling out Inoue but the WBA Super and IBF Bantamweight World champion has a mandatory obligation with the IBF in his next fight with Michael Dasminares. Plange previously contraversially drew with Dasminares back in September 29th of 2018, which is the sole blemish of Manyos career
Plange's manager, Tony Tolj discusses the proposed title challenge.
"Rigondeaux is 2 Time Olympian who we greatly respect, he is already 40 years of age and father time catches up with everyone.
I have spoken to the WBA Officials already regarding the challenge.
Manyo himself is 32 years and is reaching the peak of his career, its been a very difficult year due to covid for the Ghana people but I assure you "The Black Flash" is ready for the challenge and will bring back the title to the great nation of Ghana".
