7th World Military Games Boxing and the 2019 China National Boxing Championship in Wuhan, China By T. Chin-Te PhilBoxing.com Tue, 18 Jun 2019  Wuhan City, China -- Sponsored by China Boxing Association, co-organized by the 7th World Military Games Boxing Competition Committee and Wuhan Sports Institute, the 7th World Military Games Boxing Test Competition and the 2019 National Boxing Championship (Third round) was successfully held in Wuhan Sports Institute Gymnasium from June 12 to 17. Fifty athletes from 40 national teams competed in 15-rank competitions during the six-day period, which is an unprecedented battle. Champions of Men's 10 Ranks and women's 5 Ranks were decided in the contest. ? On June 17, after the men's final, the reporter interviewed Mr. Hu, a boxing fan from Wuhan who came to watch the match: PhilBoxing: ?Did you enjoy the boxing matches?? Mr. Hu: Yes, I did. Although, boxing?s market in China is not yet that matured and has at least a few years or even a decade before it will reach its peak. I would say that even Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson and most recently the only 8 division world champion Manny Paquiao, they all have influenced the development of boxing in China.
