?MAIN EVENT? ON IBC 13 PRIMETIME

Viva Sports top-rated weekly boxing show ?The Main Event? has moved to IBC 13 with its inaugural telecast on a new network at 9:00 p.m. on Sundays, beginning January 6.
The switch to primetime is expected to boost the program?s nationwide following.
Sponsored by Tanduay, the No.1 Rhum, ?The Main Event? is also replayed over the increasingly popular sports and entertainment cable channel Viva Prime.
For its January 6 telecast the featured main event pits promising super featherweight Weng Haya against tough Elmer Colve in an eight round bout while the preliminary four-rounder pits up-and-coming featherweight James Bacon against Joy Bol.
The fights were staged at the air-conditioned stadium in Danao City and promoted by the famed ALA GYM of Cebu boxing patron Tony Aldeguer.
