Vicelles wins.

CEBU CITY, Philippines -- In a non-stop war, unbeaten Mark "Thunder" Vicelles (10-0-1, 5 KO's) of the Omega Boxing Gym scored a hard-fought round five technical decision win over tough Dapitan trained Robert "El Rapido" Onggocan (14-5, 7 KO's) to capture the vacant Visayas Professional Boxing Association (VISPROBA) Light Flyweight strap Friday, April 5, at Parkmall Mandaue in Cebu, an action combat that thrilled fans in attendance. 🥊

Actions went back and forth throughout the exciting combat with the taller Mac Mac Vicelles outboxing the more aggressive coming-forward Onggocan, 23, of the Dino Olivette Boxing Gym in Bi?an, Laguna, till a non-intentional clash of heads opened a bad half-inch cut on Vicelles' right eyebrow during a fast and furious exchange by the end of round three.

The third man Nic Banal checked with the veteran Dr. Jose Unabia who gave the green light. However, the uncontrolled cut deteriorated throughout subsequent chapters prompting Banal to halt actions at the 38 seconds mark in round five to go to the scorecards.

Judge Arnie Najera had the battle 48-47, Noel Flores 50-45 and Neil Papas 49-48, all in favor of the undefeated promising and still undefeated 23-year-old Mark Vicelles born in Sultan Kudarat who kneed down and cross himself after listening to the scores in his favor.

His effort earned him his first title in pro boxing, and more challenges on the road ahead.

The taller Tarzan Remandiman made good use of his jab, fast combinations and superb conditioning to edge the battling "Jaguar" Rosia who never gave an inch, pressing the action with power blows, landing to the head and body of Tarzan with solid claws. especially with his preferred weapon, the straight left.

Remandiman knees down and crosses himself upon learning that he is the new Visayas Champion.

At the sound of the last bell, close scores for the close battle were read: Judge Neil Papas 77-75, Noel Flores 76-76 and Arnie Najera 77-75, a majority decision win for the 22-year-old "Tarzan" Ponciano Remandiman who claimed his first title in pro boxing, the VISPROBA strap.
