BOBPAC STOPS TREJO IN 4!
By Winchell Campos PhilBoxing.com Sat, 24 Nov 2007

CABAZON, CA?Bobby Pacquiao, bloodied but unfazed, showed true heart and determination in turning back sturdy Mexican Fernando Trejo, scoring a fourth round technical knockout at the Morongo Casino Resort and Spa here.
Knowing that a third straight loss would jeopardize his chances of returning to big-time, big-money fights, the younger of the two fighting Pacquiao brothers went all out and never abandoned a searing body attack despite getting tagged with good counter shots to the head.
His right cheek bone swollen and blood oozing from it from a third round skirmish, Pacquiao never lost concentration and never gave up despite getting dazed a couple of times by solid blows from the bigger and taller Trejo.
?Kinatawan ko na lang nang kinatawan. Bahala na, sabi ko,? said Pacquiao, 26. He lost two in a row to Hector Velazquez and Humberto Soto, both Mexicans, and this victory came a little sweet, when no one came to help him out in his pre-fight preparations, save from a couple of well-meaning friends.
The end came at the 1:14 mark of the fourth round when Pacquiao unleashed a one-two combination to the head and body.
Trejo dropped like a sack but got up. He was still complaining of extreme pain on his shoulders and indicated he can not continue even as the referee waved him off at the count of 10.
?Salamat sa Diyos at sa lahat ng mga taong naniniwala pa ring mananalo ako,? said ?The Sniper,? who got cheered on by his wife Lorelie and a couple of supporters at ringside.
His superstar brother, Manny, has just gotten off the plane from Manila and got ecstatic upon learning of the good news. He was still in Los Angeles and could not make it to Cabazon, about 2 hours away.
Also absent was regular coach Freddie Roach, who was tied up in a similar coaching job at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles. Taking care of Pacquiao was Eric Brown, Pepper Roach and corner Rodel Mayol.
