Under the new concept, Golden Boy Presenta: Guantes Dorados, the company will seek to give national exposure to the next generation of Mexican talent, offering young fighters the ideal platform to begin their journey toward professionalism. The tournament will be livestreamed on Golden Boy's YouTube page, and takes place from Friday, Oct. 24 through Sunday, Oct. 25. At the same time, the tournament will serve as a stage to discover the next boxing star. For example, Óscar Duarte, a headliner and part of Golden Boy’s formidable stable, competed in Guantes Dorados during his amateur career. The tournament was founded in 2002 in Saucillo, Chihuahua, Mexico, with just 33 fighters registered.
