ALA Gym's former world title challenger Melvin Jerusalem (13-2-0, 8 KOs) of Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon made good use of his superior boxing skills to land damaging blows to the head and body of Philip Luis Cuerdo (10-5-1, 4 KOs) of Mandaluyong City to stop him in round eight via TKO. Crushing body shots in the eighth chapter, followed by tough combinations rocked the brave Cuerdo of the Penalosa Gym to the canvas where he stayed seated near a neutral corner, prompting veteran referee Teddy Alivio to wave the fight off at the 1:12 mark of round TKO 8. Jerusalem had in his corner ALA coach Michael Domingo.

Go Hosaka downs Quinones.

Debutant Filipino-Japanese Go Hosaka (1-0, 1 KO) sporting the flags of Japan and the Philippines in his trunks did not waste any time in attacking and brutalizing unheralded Holly Quinones (3-10-1, 1KOs), dismantling in in the very first round for a quick KO win. The official time of stoppage was 2:47 in round one. Referee was Nic Banal of Banawa, Cebu.

Antaran upsets Macapobre.
