"Fight for Glory:" Nakamura, Jesadajindawan War it Out Friday Night in Bangkok

BANGKOK, Kingdom of Thailand -- All warriors due to see action in the exciting "Fight for Glory" card successfully made weight, and are ready to rumble. In the main event, hard-hitting Japanese slugger Yuya Nakamura (R) of Osaka scaled-in at 56.3 Kgs while opponent 23 year-old Thai warrior Worraphon Jesadajindawat made 56.2 kilos ahead of their featherweight clash set for Friday evening (April 27) at Ram 100 Boxing Gym here in Bangkok, Thailand.

In the co-main event, Thai lightweight Vachayan Khamon tipped the scales at 64.8 kilos for his collision against tough Chinese welterweight Zhen Li of Urumqi. Zhen Li is trained by Filipino former world champion Drian Francisco, 35, of Batangas.

Ryo Hashiya of Osaka, Japan (L) will battle Veelayut Yejanthuk of Thailand.

In a battle of newcomers to the sport of pro boxing, 19 year-old Japanese Ryo Hashiya of Osaka made 51.2 kilos for his tough rumble against 17 year-old Thai boxer Veelayut Yejanthuk who made a weight of 52 kilos. Their coming war is a 6-rounder in the super flyweight division.

Furthermore, in a battle of tough fight girls, 23 year-old Thai bantamweight fighter Phannaluk Kongsang weighed-in at 49.6 kilos as she battles cute 20 year-old Malaysian rockie Jia Yi Chan (Jovy Chan) of Kuala Lumpur. The ever smiley Jovy made a poundage of 49.8 kilos. Their fight is 6-rounder, each round of two minutes.

In addition to boxing, Muay Thai battles are already scheduled to thrill fans in attendance.

"Fight for Glory" Friday night at Ram 100 Thai Boxing Gym in Ramkamhaeng, Bangkok, Thailand, is an effort of Filipino Promoter Brico Santig in cooperation with Thai man of boxing Mr. Supanat Chanram.

Brico Santig, director of Highland Boxing, is the winner of this year's WBC's Oriental Promoter of the Year Award.

Doors at Ram 100 Boxing Gym open at 6:30 PM.
