Palicte vs Rodriguez Top RJJ?s Fights on beIN Sports ? Friday night sees the return of Aston Palicte (23-2) of the Philippines as he faces Jose Alfredo Rodriguez (32-6) in the main event on beIN Sports.
Palicte made his debut stateside in December of 2016 when he took home the NABF title at super flyweight with a split decision win over then unbeaten Oscar Cantu. Palicte, who has 19 stoppage wins in his career, last fought in June, when he won an eight round bout at home with a stoppage in the final minute of the fight. In Rodriguez, Palicte is facing a known quantity. The Mexican veteran is 0-2 thus far in 2017, with one loss coming to IBF world champion Jerwin Ancajas. A second ten round bout sees undefeated 22 year old Ali Akhmedov of Kazakhstan defending his WBC youth title at light heavyweight against likewise undefeated DeShon Webster.
