Game of the Warriors: Clavite vs Lauro August 26 in Bacoor, Cavite

PhilBoxing.com

"Game of the Warriors" is ON for Saturday August 26 @ Quibors Gym in Bacoor, Cavite, featuring eight pro fights between tough warriors willing to engage for the entertainment of boxing fans in the area.

In the main event, Jr. Flyweight Jerome "Calibre" Clavite (L) will clash with veteran former PBF champion Roque Lauro of the Elorde Boxing Stable in what promises to be a non-stop 10-rounder that no boxing fan in Cavite can afford to miss.

The 21-year-old Clavite ? who hails from Bi?an, Laguna, and fights our of the Quibor Boxing Stable ? comes proud from two consecutive knock out wins and now aims at the journeyman Roque Lauro, whose 32nd birthday was last Tuesday, as his next victim.

Two years ago, the Nasipit-born Roque Lauro (now living in Quezon City, Metro Manila), scored three consecutive back-to-back wins against Nippon warriors in Japan. However, from then on, Lauro hasn't look too good at all, losing fights. Still, fan wants to see him in an action against the younger Clavite who is focused in destroying him by way of knock out. We shall see.

MORE EXCITING FIGHTS

In the 8-rounder co-main of the evening, Quibor Stable super flyweight southpaw Alphoe Dagayloan (6-2-4, 2 KO's) of Dipolog will take on more the experienced 23-year-old Muntinlupa warrior Renerio Arizala (13-7-1, 5 KO's) of the Atan Pe?alosa Boxing Stable.

Also, 20-year-old Sampaloc fighter Melvin Manangquil (3-3-2, 1 KO) of Brico Santig's Highland Stable will be in collision course against 31-fight veteran "El Granada" Ariel Alapormina, 25, of Shock Punch Gym. Their clash is a 6-rounder in the 105-lbs division.

In a 4-rounder, Cagayan de Oro Jr. Flyweight Francis Jay Diaz, 19, who sweats at the Quibor Boxing Gym in Cavite, will make his third pro-fight against debutant Kenneth Alguiza of Sucat, Para?aque. Diaz's first fight was a win and his second one a draw. Let's see how he will perform when he meets in the ring the fearless Ken Alquiza who is focused in beginning his boxing career with a big win.

Moreover, bantamweight debutant Quim Colim of Shock Punch Stable in Bacoor will take on Eric Labro who is in his third pro fight. Labro lost his first two clashes, but he does not give up on boxing. He is eager to score his first win against the rookie Colim to make proud his trainers at I M Boxing Gym in Lipa Batangas. Will he be able to do it? Their clash is a scheduled 4 round rumble.

DEBUTANT FIGHTERS WILLING TO PROVE THEIR WORTH

17-year old Miel Fajardo of Highland Boxing Stable has already fought already two times as a pro boxer, winning his debut fight last December and drawing in his second war last May. His third combat will be against ArAr Andales (1-0, 0 KO's) of the Quibors Boxing Stable Bacoor. Both young warriors want so bad to score a thrilling win. But who will do it? Their clash is a 4-rounder in the minimumweight division.

Furthermore, Jr. Flyweight Ariston Aton, also 17, will square off Rico M. Saonoy, 24, in a 4-rounder. Aton - who won his first fight by knockout in the first round last April - trains at the Quibor Gym, while the slightly more experienced Saonoy (1-2-1, 1 KO) sweats it out every day at IM Boxing Gym in Lipa, Batangas. The young Aton was born in Lapu Lapu City, Cebu, while Saonoy hails from Naga, Camerines Sur. Not an easy fight for any of fighters. This 4-rounder clash promises fireworks.

In the first rumble of the evening, fans will see super bantamweigh Rustom Doronio making his first pro fight against Juan Paulo Placios of the I M Boxing Gym in Batangas. Doronio is a Quibor fighter and Placios hasn't score a win in four tries.

But that does not matter. Because Juan Paulo Placios has a big heart, has determination, is not afraid... he loves boxing and does not give up. Their skirmish is scheduled to last 4 chapters, though might not get to the final bell.

"Game of Warriors" is the newest production of promoter Joseph Quibral of Quibors Boxing Promotions in association with matchmaker Jimmy T. Vallares, 26, for the excitement of Cavite boxing fans.

Fights will take center stage at Quibors Boxing Gym located at Molino III, Magdiwang Road in Bacoor, Cavite.

The first bout will start at 6 PM.
