PUBLIC WORK OUT: MREMA LOOKS DESTRUCTIVE FOR SANTISIMA THIS SATURDAY IN PINOY PRIDE 41 (PHOTOS) By Carlos Costa PhilBoxing.com Thu, 06 Jul 2017 Destructive, undefeated, young Tanzania Super Bantamweight Champion Goodluck Mrema looked in top shape for his 10-rounder battle against the equally hazardous Filipino Jeo "Santino" Santisima in PINOY PRIDE 41 this Saturday, July 8, at IEC Convention Center in Mabolo, Cebu City, Philippines. Ahead of that rumble, the 22-year-old Goodluck Mrema held a public work out Wednesday evening at Robinsons Galleria, in which he looked fast, lean and strong during his rounds of shadow boxing, prompting fans to think that the Filipino wonder-boy from Masbate has a tough battle ahead of him. "Mrema is smart in the ring, and he is strong, moves fast, attacks quickly and get away from the line of fire," said Mrema's trainer and manager Mr. Paul Akoth. "We expect a great fight." Indeed, in the mind of many boxing fans in Cebu, the Santisima vs Mrema 10-rounder is by far the most competitive and tough fight in PINOY PRIDE 41 and the promising Santisima, 21, might not have a walk in the park. To some, Albert Pagara has an easy sparring session. Magsayo really much much tougher. But boxing fans agree that Santisima is the one in clear and present danger for his battle against this tough, young, hunger-for-glory unbeaten African warrior who so badly wants so a resounding WIN in Philippine land. Will the talented, hard-striking "Santino" be able to resolve the problems that Mrema will throw at him to continue his rising boxing career with more challenges ... Or will the fearless African 16-0 Tanzania champion be too quick, too good and too devastating for the Filipino wonder-boy..?? There is only one way to know. Santisima vs Mrema in Pinoy Pride 41 this Saturday July 8 at EIC Convencion Center in Mabolo, Cebu City, is a production of ALA Boxing Promotions, a company of the more prolific and successful boxing promoter in the Philippines, don Antonio L. Aldeguer. General Admission tickets are 300, 200 and 100 pesos. Click here to view a list of other articles written by Carlos Costa. |
