T?BOLI THUNDER 2 ON MARCH 12 PhilBoxing.com Thu, 02 Mar 2017  THE ?T?boli Thunder 2? boxing show is slated on March 12 at the T?boli Covered Court in T? boli, South Cotabato featuring the championship fight for the vacant World Boxing Federation (WBF) Asia Pacific light flyweight title in the main event. Promoter Jim Claude ?JC? Manangquil of Sanman Promotions said that Sanman?s Ronie ?Ultimate Warrior? Tanallon (10-3-1, 2 KOs) will be fighting current Mindanao Professional Boxing Association (Minproba) champion Arnold Garde (7-4-2, 3 KOs) of Davao City for the WBF Asia Pacific light flyweight crown. The 10-round title bout will be supervised by WBF Supervisor Lito delos Reyes. The 23-year old Tanallon, a former Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) minimumweight champion from General Santos City scored a unanimous decision victory in his previous outing against Rez Padrogane last December 17 at the Robinson?s Place in Gensan. Last year, Tanallon also fought but lost by a UD to Robert Paradero in their battle for the vacant WBO Asia Pacific Youth minimumweight title last October 28 in Cagayan de Oro City. Garde, on the other hand, won the Minproba light flyweight title by a UD over Ian Ligutan on Sept. 17 at the President Roxas Gym in President Roxas, North Cotabato. The 26-year old Garde, however, lost by a UD to former world champion Randy ?Razor? Petalcorin in their IBF Pan Pacific light flyweight title fight held Dec. 4 at Robinson?s Mall Atrium in Gensan. ?This is a even match-up and we expect a great fight,? said Manangquil. Markquil Salva?a will also be in action when he faces JP Macadumpis for the vacant Philippine boxing federation featherweight title. The rest of the undercards will have flyweights Jeny Boy Boca vs Lony Cadayday (8rds), flyweights Aries Benavidez vs Joey Antonio (8rds), light flyweights Michael Enriquez vs Jade Yagahon (6rds), light flyweight Joel llino vs Ramil Antaran, light flyweight Joebert Torrena vs Ken Anraran (4rds). This annual boxing event is presented by Sanman promotions and supported by the T?boli municipal government.  |
