YU, PORRAS, TESORIO, ROTA ARRIVE IN GENSAN FEB 24

Dangerous Raul ?Vulcan? Yu of Cebu, Glenn ?The Rock? Porras of North Cotabato, Jovany Rota of Butuan and Renren ?Rainman? Tesorio of Manila are all arriving on February 24 in General Santos City for their separate championship fights on Sunday at the Lagao Gym.
Yu (9-1-2-8 KOs) is facing undefeated Jade Bornea (6-0-0-4 KOs) of Sanman-Amoy Stable for the vacant IBF World Youth super flyweight while Porras (29 wins-5 losses-0 draw-17 knockouts) is fighting "Iron" Ben Mananquil (12 wins-1 loss-2 draw-3 KOs) for the vacant WBF International bantamweight title.
Rota (9 wins-9 losses, 6 KOs) will take on former world title contender Eden Sonsona (35-6-2, 12 KOs) for the vacant WBF International super featherweight crown.
Tesorio, a former Philippine light flyweight title-holder with a record of 15-9-3-4 KOs is facing Eden?s younger brother Lolito ?Thunder Shot? Sonsona (20-1-4-9 KOs) for the vacant WBF Asia super flyweight title.
?All of them are prepared to fight and will try to upset the local fighters? said Sanman CEO Jim Claude Manangquil
?Sanman boxers are also in top shape and im sure we will have a great night of championship boxing so pls come this feb 26" said Manangquil.
Meawhile, before the professional fights there will also be 20 amateur bouts set to start at 1 p.m.
"It's part of Sanman promotions program to have amateur fights before every professional card to help develop young fighters for the future.? said Mananquil.
Among those Sanman produced from the amateur ranks who are now pro fighters are former WBA World champion Randy ?Razor? Petalcorin, undefeated flyweight Jayson Mama and Undefeated WBC Asia superbantamweight champion Reymart Gaballo.
The ?Laban Pinoy 3: Rise of the Champions? is the official boxing event of this year?s Kalilangan Festival. It is presented by the Sanman Promotions and Solar Sports and sponsored by the city government of Gensan, Mt. Sabrina Resort, Barberlife and Amoy Promotions. Admission is free to the public.
