ELORDE GRANDSONS STAKE CROWNS IN BOXING KONTRA DROGA FEB 25

Two grandsons of boxing legend Gabriel ?Flash? Elorde will put their WBO crowns on the line when they face challengers from Thailand and Indonesia in ?Boxing Kontra Droga? on Feb. 25 at the Elorde Sports Center on Sucat Rd., Paranaque.
Martin?Bai? Elorde, a southpaw like his grandfather, comes to grips with Thai Aekkawee Kaewmanee, also a southpaw, in his first defense of the WBO Oriental lightweight crown with a unanimous decision over Indonesian Musa Letding in March, 2016.
The 32-year-old Elorde, comes into the fight with a with a more impressive ring record of 21-1-0, with eight knockouts, seeking win that will line him up for a world title bout. The Thai has a ring record of 16-7-0, with six KOs.
Younger brother Juan Miguel ?Migs? Elorde, 30, will stake his WBO Asia super bantamweight title against Indonesian Erick Deztroyer ((8-4-1). Migs Elorde carries a record of 22-1-0, with 11 KOs.
The two championship bouts are the highlights of a triple championship which includes the Philippine featherweight title match between defending champion Randy Braga and Caloocan City?s Kandy Cris Leon.
The ?Boxing Kontra Droga? is held by the Johnny Elorde Management International in cooperation with the Rotary Club of Manila Premier.
The triple championship starts at 5 p.m.
