PAGARA BROS, MAGSAYO LEAVE WILDCARD GYM TO CONTINUE TRAINING IN SAN FRANCISCO

PhilBoxing.com

Unbeaten Prince Albert Pagara and his elder brother, No.1 WBO ranked light welterweight contender Jason ?El Nino? Pagara, have left for San Francisco along with Mark ?Magnifico? Magsayo and trainer Edmund Villamor to continue the brothers' training for the big fight card titled ?Fists of the Future? at the San Mateo Events Center in California.

Also in the group is ALA Promotions International matchmaker Edito ?Ala? Villamor.

The team will arrive in San Francisco three weeks before the July 9 card which will also feature some exciting bouts between American fighters led by the clash between promising, unbeaten featherweight Hector Valdez who has a record of 6-0 with 5 knockouts and super bantamweight Vincent Jennings who is from Grand Rapids, Michigan, and has just one loss in a record of 5-1-1 with 4 knockouts. They will face off in a six round bout at 125 pounds.

While there will be pre-event appearances and interviews lined up for the Pagara brothers, trainer Edmund Villamor revealed they needed to get acclimatized because of the sometimes unpredictable chilly weather in San Francisco.

A press launch on June 22 will be the first event on the schedule of the fighters and will be held at the ABS-CBN International Office.

The giant broadcast network will partner ALA Promotions in the explosive fight card headlined by the battle between WBO No. 2 ranked junior featherweight Prince Albert and the rugged Mexican Cesar Juarez who engaged Nonito ?The Filipino Flash? Donaire in a brutal contest for the WBO super bantamweight crown which Donaire won by a lopsided decision after dropping Juarez twice in round four.

The Prince Albert?Juarez showdown is regarded as the biggest test for the young Pagara as he moves towards a possible world title fight.

Pagara and trainer Villamor claim Albert is ready as can be and promises ?an impressive win? over Juarez.

In the co-main event Jason Pagara battles former Mexican super lightweight champion Abraham Alvarez with Pagara indicating he is fully satisfied with his training at the Wild Card Gym of Freddie Roach.
