TEAM PHILIPPINES ARRIVES IN SACRAMENTO!

With all members ready and healthy to rumble, Team Philippines breezed into Sacramento today confident of pulling off an upset when they challenge Mexico's dominance in the World Cup of Boxing to be held at the Arco Arena on August 11.
Mexico holds the title after thrashing Thailand in the inaugural staging of the World Cup.
Team Philippines received a major boost when Z 'The Dream' Gorres was cleared to fight today by Dr. Steinschriber, although his opponent Gerson Guerrero had to be replaced by ex-WBC champ Eric Ortiz due to medical reasons.
Team Philippines, captained by Rey 'Boom Boom' Bautista, is billeted at the Vagabond Inn on Third Street, Sacramento, and are looking forward to test the mettle of the grizzled Mexican champions and warriors.
Michael Aldeguer, who manages five of the seven Filipino fighters seeing action in the card, also travelled with the group along with lovely wife Christine.
