Tinampay to fight for WBC World Youth title in China
By Lito delos Reyes PhilBoxing.com Thu, 28 Apr 2016

LIGHTWEIGHT Nelson Tinampay of the Philippines will be challenging WBC Youth World super lightweight champion Bai Shan Bo of China on April 29 at the Young Chan Arena in Chongqing, China.
?Ito na ang matagal ko nang hinihintay na break,? said the 23-year old Tinampay, who left Manila yesterday together with his trainer Victor Man-on of Bohol.
Tinampay, the youngest among the three boxing brothers, has a record of 9 wins, 4 by knockouts against two defeats and one draw. However, Tinampay is coming from a disappointing loss from the hands of Jonel Gadapan by retirement in the 4th round last January 31 in Iligan City for the vacant World Boxing Federation Asia Pacific lightweight title.
?Nasugatan kasi ng malaki sa my mata dahil sa headbutt sa second round pa lang. Lumala ito sa fourth round kaya pinahinto ko na lang ito,? said Man-on.
Tinampay?s previous victory was against Richard Betos by a technical decision last July 24, 2015 in Tagbilaran City.
Bo, on the other hand, captured the WBC Youth World super lightweight title by a first round TKO win over Tackie Annan of Ghana last February 12 at the Olympic Park Arena in Lu Zhou, China.
The 21-year old Bo is undefeated with 7 wins with 4 knockouts and 1 draw.
WBC Asia Pacific Promoter of the Year Brico Santig of Highland Promotions will also be at the corner of Tinampay during the fight. ? LITO DELOS REYES
