It?s another big honor for the Filipino boxers and a chance to fight in a big fight),? said Santig. It was Tanada?s 6th championship fight in five separate divisions. Tanada of Highland Boxing Stable won the vacant WBO Asia Pacific Youth super featherweight title by a split decision against Jose Ocampo last August 7, 2010 in Tanza, Cavite. The native of Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay then captured the vacant OPBF super featherweight crown by stopping Rikiya Fukuhara in the 3rd round (1:47) on September 20, 2010 at the Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. Tanada, however, lost the OPBF title to undefeated Japanese Masao Nakamura by a 5th round TKO on December 5, 2010 at the IMP Hall in Osaka, Japan. Tanada, however, bounced back by winning by a majority decision over Mexican Juan Ruiz on November 11, 2011 at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. Tanada (13W-4L-3D-5D) also fought in two other title-fights but he lost both of them. He first dropped a unanimous decision against Sonny Katiandagho on October 4, 2014 in La Trinidad, Benguet for the vacant WBC Youth World super lightweight title. He was also disqualified in the 6th round against unbeaten Soslan Tedeev for vacant IBF Youth lightweight title on Febuary 23, 2015 in Chelyabinsk, Russia. Mukhlis (28W-5L-3D), on the other hand, previously won the Indonesian lightweight title by a split decision over Hero Tito last November 6. Mukhlis is a former WBO Asian Pacific lightweight champion when he beat Weng Haya by a unanimous decision last October 12, 2013 in Surabaya. He is also an ex-PABA super featherweight title-holder and he defended it successfully six times. In his first defense, Mukhlis won by a UD against Filipino challenger Jaime Barcelona on July 27, 2007 in Jakarta. The 29-year old Mukhlis also bagged the vacant WBO Oriental super featherweight title via a TKO win over Fernando Otic of Cebu on December 28, 2007. He also retained both two titles by retirement victory over Wacharakrit Senahan on October 24, 2009. Mukhlis, however, lost by a 5th round TKO from the hands of Japanese Takashi Uchiyama for the WBA World super featherweight title on Sept. 20, 2010 in Saitama, Japan. The 5-foot-8 Mukhlis enjoys a three inch advantage over Tanada. ?
