Pacquiao says: Expect An Action-Packed Pacquiao-Bradley Trilogy

PhilBoxing.com

BEVERLY HILLS, California ? World eight-division boxing champion and Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao believed his third ring encounter with Timothy Bradley would be electrifying and action-packed.

Pacquiao described the reigning World Boxing Organization (WBO) Welterweight title belt-holder as a more aggressive fighter compared to the one he had fought in 2011 and 2014.

Bradley won in the judges? scorecards during their first meeting in 2011 but Pacquiao clearly triumphed in their 2014 rematch.

?Bradley had changed a lot. Under his new trainer Teddy Atlas, he had metamorphosed from being a boxer to an aggressive prizefighter. Given his new fighting style, I believe our third ring collision would be action-packed. So, don?t miss it,? Pacquiao said.

Pacquiao thanked the fans worldwide for supporting him all these years.

?From the bottom of my heart, I?d like to say thank you to all the fans around the world for supporting me all these years,? Pacquiao said.

Pacquiao claimed one of the main reasons why he chose Bradley as opponent in his farewell fight scheduled on April 9 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Filipino boxing phenom refused to make a prediction when asked by reporters whether he?s expecting for a knockout.

?I can?t say that there would be a knockout. What I can assure you is I would train and work hard for this fight. We will study his latest video and try to make some adjustments to be able to neutralize his new fighting style,? Pacquiao said.

The Filipino boxing hero stressed he?s hanging up his gloves after his April 9 final ring date.

?It hurts to bid goodbye to a sport which brought me to where I am today. But I?d been in boxing for more than 20 years and no one can keep on fighting all his life,? he said.

Pacquiao is vying for a Senate seat under the United National Alliance (UNA) in the coming May 2016 elections.

Out of the 172 senatorial aspirants, the Filipino ring legend has been consistently in the top 10 based on the results of surveys conducted both by the Pulse Asia and the Social Weather Stations (SWS).

?When I embraced the sport of boxing, my dream was to help my mother provide food for our family. I didn?t expect to become an eight-division world champion. Now, I am ending my boxer career to take on a bigger responsibility ? to serve my country and the Filipino people,? he declared.

Pacquiao and his 12-man entourage arrived here early Monday evening and was billeted in an old but elegant and famous Beverly Hills Hotel in Sunset Boulevard.

Team Pacquiao will fly out to New York City on Wednesday afternoon for the final leg of a four-day press tour to promote the Pacquiao-Bradley trilogy.
