DENOY VIES FOR WBO ASIA PACIFIC TITLE IN THAILAND

ALA Boy Along Denoy will attempt to snatch the WBO Asia-Pacific light flyweight title when he faces reigning titlist Kaichon Sor Vorapin on July 13 in Thailand.
Denoy has been unbeaten since 2005 when he absorbed a sixth-round technical decision defeat at the hands of Vorapin also in Thailand.
Since that loss, Denoy has racked up six wins, one draw and one no-contest. Vorapin, meanwhile, had racked up nine wins since their first encounter, and lost only to WBO champion Hugo Cazares at the first edition of boxing's 'World Cup.'
Another Filipino, Eduardo Apaap, is also set to challenge WBO Asia Pacific superbantam champ Sod Loknokyangtoy in the other 12-rounder.
Both Vorapin and Sod are trained by Filipino Michael John Palacios.
