DAVAO CITY ? Undefeated boxer Jay-Ar ?The Hitman? Inson of Davao City fights Indonesian Victor Mausul for the vacant World Boxing Organization (WBO) Orient Lightweight Interim Championship on August 14 at 1 p.m. at the SM Davao Annex in Ecoland.

The 12-round title-fight in the main event of the ?Tibay ng Pinoy IX: Clash in the Orient? presented by the MP Promotions USA, LLC in coordination with the Joven Sports Promotion.

?It?s our support to this year?s Kadayawan sa Dabaw celebration,? said promoter Joven Jimenez.

?We would also like to thank SM Davao for allowing us to stage our boxing event for the first time inside a mall,? said Jimenez, who met with the SM Davao management headed by Vice President for Marketing Russel Alaba.

All of the past boxing promotions were held inside a gym.
The Tibay ng Pinoy IX, which is also free to the public will also have five 10-rounders, two 8-rounders and three 4-rounders.
Inson, 24, is considered as one of the most promising fighters of the MP Stable in Davao. He has won all his eight fights, five of them by knockout.

He previously knocked out Elmer Legaria in the first round last April 5 in Panabo City.

His other past victims were Phil Angamor (1st round), Hagibis Quinones (3rd round), Eddie Gomez (1st round) and Wariel Verano (2nd round).

Inson?s three other wins were by unanimous decisions against Gabby Siempo, Avelino Ramos and Adamdiv Abdulhamid.

Inson?s opponent Mausul, however, is not a patsy with a record of 9 wins, 5 KOs, 3 loses and 2 draws.

He is a former WBO Asia Pacific super featherweight champion and Indonesian super bantamweight title-holder.

In his last fight, Mausul settled a draw with Robert Kopa last May 3.

Mausul won the vacant WBO Asia Pacific title via a unanimous decision against Pratet Sor Vorapin by UD on April 2, 2005.
But he lost it only in his first title-defense by an 8th round TKO against Filipino challenger Czar Amonsot in Bohol on that same year. ? LITO DELOS REYES
