WARRIORS ONE GAME AWAY FROM NBA FINALS

HOUSTON -- The monstrous dunk by Dwight Howard against the two defenders in the first quarter did not set the tone for the Houston Rockets, who they lost by 35 points against the Golden State, Warriors, on Saturday night at the Toyota Center.
The loss dropped the Rockets to a 3-0 hole in the Western Conference Finals
Steph Curry led the Warriors with 40 points, including a 7-of-9 fare from 3-point range. Draymond Green had 17 points and 13 boards while Andrew Bogut added 12 points and 12 rebounds. Klay Thompson also had 17.
"We just cant quit on each other, as much as went through, as great as they played tonight as a team, we cant give up as a team we've come too far, we've been through so many battles to just allow it to end tonight. We just have to man up we cant quit on each other," said Howard, who finished with 14 points and 14 boards for Houston.
The Warriors led as many as 31 points as they tightened up their defense that made it so hard for the Rockets to get their offense going.
James Harden had a quiet 17 points and four assists. "I]m surprised we we're too relaxed and too comfortable. We were trying to come back to a fight but our fight wasn't enough" said Harden.
Josh Smith contributed 16 points 4 assists and 8 rebounds while Trevor Ariza added 7 points and 8 rebounds.
