HIDALGO, TX (May 19, 2015) -- The undefeated Mexican super middleweight contender with the matinee idol looks, GILBERTO "Zurdo" RAMIREZ, will host a press conference in Hidalgo, TX This Thursday! May 21, in the main lobby of State Farm Arena (2600 North 10th St./Highway 336, Hidlago, TX 78557), beginning at 1:00 p.m. CT.
The press conference will be open to the public. Free parking will be available at the front entrance.
Ramirez (31-0, 24 KOs), a two-fisted super middleweight wrecking machine who hails from Mazatlan, Mexico, is world-rated No. 2 by the World Boxing Council (WBC) and the World Boxing Organization (WBO), and No. 3 by the International Boxing Federation (IBF) and the World Boxing Association (WBA), and he holds the NABF and the WBO International super middleweight titles. He will be discussing his nationally-televised title defense, which is scheduled to take place on Friday, June 26, at State Farm Arena.
Promoted by Top Rank? and Zapari Boxing Promotions, in association with Nord Boxing Promotions and Zanfer Promotions, Ramirez's title defense will be televised live on The MetroPCS Friday Night Knockout on truTV, beginning at 10:00 p.m. ET. The telecast will open with two-time Mexican Olympian ?SCAR VALDEZ (16-0, 14 KOs) risking his undefeated record in a 10-round featherweight bout. The live boxing series is presented by truTV and Top Rank, and produced in association with HBO Sports?.
