Melvin ?Top Gun? Gumban of the ALA Gym faltered in his first defense of his Philippine superflyweight title against Rene ?Commander? Dacquel on Saturday and lost by split decision in a fight held at the Super Metro of Lapulapu City.
This card was part of the ALA-COBRA TUNAY NA LAKAS boxing tour and coincided with the celebration of Kadaugan sa Mactan. Gumban suffered his first loss at 19-1,10KO?s and Dacquel improves to 14-4-1,5KO?s.

Jason Canoy won by TKO 2nd round (2:18) against Juren Labordo, who was down thrice. Virgel "Valiente" Vitor beat Kenneth "Dragon" Neron by by TKO 3rd round (2mins18secs).
Raul "Vulcan" Yu won by unanimous decision over Gerard Suico, Andrew Palas won by unanimous decision over Jefcon "Ringo" Concerman, Cris Ganoza won by TKO 4th round (2:21) against Rafael Sueno.
