BA Playoffs -- Duncan turns back time, Spurs take Game 2

LOS ANGELES -- Staring at an 0-2 hole with their backs against the wall, the defending champion San Antonio Spurs won a 111-107 overtime thriller over the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night at Staples Center.
Tim Duncan, who will turn 39 this weekend, turned back time with 28 points and 11 rebounds as the Spurs tied the best of 7 series at 1-1. Game 3 is Friday night (Saturday AM) at the AT&T Center in San Antonio.
Duncan has now scored over 5,000 points in the post season and his mid-range jumper with 1:43 left in overtime gave the Spurs a 103-101 lead that they never relinquished.
"He was spectacular. He continues to amaze," Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich said at his post-game press conference.
Kawhi Leonard had 23 points and 9 rebounds while Patty Mills filled in for the injured Tony Parker and came up huge with 18 points, including two free throws that forced overtime. Dealing with an Achilles issue, Parker did not play in the fourth quarter.
The Clippers had two attempts to win the game outright in regulation, but Chris Paul's fade away jumper and Matt Barnes' tip-in both went haywire in the final eight seconds.
In overtime, the more experienced Spurs handled their business and outlasted the Clips, 17-13.
"They are battle-tested...That is what they do. You have to tip your hat to them," said Clippers reserve Jamal Crawford, who had 11 points off the bench.
Blake Griffin had a triple-double with 29 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists while Chris Paul finished with 21. J.J. Redick pumped in 16. But the Clips, who shot only 39 of 92 field goals, missed 17 free throws.
