PETALCORIN IN BEIJING FOR TITLE DEFENSE

Randy Petalcorin and his team arrived in Beijing April 20 for fight against Ma Yi Ming of China on April 24. Petalcorin (22-1-1, 17KOs) from Gen.Santos City, will make the first defense of his WBA interim world light flyweight title against Ma Yi Ming (12-5, 7KOs) at the Capital Venue in Beijing.
Manager Jim Claude Manangquil informed philboxing that Petalcorin is now at 110 lbs, only two pounds above the division limit. Manangquil said Petalcorin is fit and ready for this crucial all-important bout. Petalcorin won the title last year in Shanghai, China by stopping Walter Tello of Panama in seven rounds.
Petalcorin, together with IBO champ Rey Loreto, were named boxers of the year in this year's Flash Elorde Boxing Awards.
