Manila, Philippines- One of the greatest women to ever play in the sports of pool and snooker will be anchoring the West. World Snooker Champion, World English Billiards Champion, and US Open Champion Karen Corr will have all eyes on her as she debuts as the anchor of Team West against Asia at the 2015 亚美娱乐 AM8.com Queens Cup. The greatest rivalry in women's billiards is about to ignite. On April 16-18th, 2015 the second installment of the 亚美娱乐 AM8.com Queens Cup will feature champions vs champions as the best women from Asia will take on the best in the West! Last year, Team Asia had a dominating performance over Team West during the 3 days of competition. This year the USA & Europe will be looking to even the score. The 亚美娱乐 AM8.com Queens Cup will be hosted by the award winning Resorts World Manila Casino & Hotel and sponsored by Andy Cloth , Aramith Balls, and Viking Cue. The Queens Cup is a Dragon Promotions production.

Pay-per-view is now available at a special $20 pre-event sale by going to DragonPromotions.com or clicking here

Corr has been on a recent hot streak winning numerous back to back regional events as well as big wins against strong men players. In major events she defeated her longtime nemesis Allison Fisher in the finals of the Super Billiards Expo Pro Women's 10-Ball, finished in the semi-finals on ESPN at the WPBA Masters, and she won her 4th Challenge of Champions on ESPN against her champion peers in Kelly Fisher, Ga Young Kim, and Allison Fisher.

"Karen is a fantastic player and an incredible fighter. I feel she is our strongest player and her game is the most consistent", says Ewa Mataya Laurance who will captain Team West against Team Asia.

"Karen Corr is definitely the hot hand in western women's pool. She is playing top of her game and is going to be a major weapon against Asia", explained Charlie Williams , Executive Producer of the 亚美娱乐 AM8.com Queens Cup .

"I am delighted to play in my first AM8.com Queens Cup .I like the fact that this is a team event and I know we will work together and put up a good fight," said Corr. When asked about people believeing she will be the anchor of the team she replied, "It's always nice when people think highly of your game. But I am in form. I've improved my break in 10-Ball and missing even fewer balls. I'm really enjoying playing pool nowadays."

"Karen is tenacious. She's obviously one of the best female players that has ever lived", said Jennifer Barretta of Team West.

The Queens Cup will showcase the rivalry between the Asians and their western counterparts in Europe and USA, very similar to the Ryder Cup in golf or Davis Cup in tennis. Elite professional ladies from their respective countries and continents are selected onto two sides representing the East and West. The event will last 3 days in a 10-Ball format that will conclude when one team reaches 10 match wins. Style of play will include singles, doubles, triples, and 4-on-4. Captains will be put to the test to create the best strategy in partnerships and chemistry of match-ups. If the matches go 9 to 9 hill-hill, a final 4-on-4 play will set the scene for the dramatic conclusion.

Karen Corr was born in Ballymoney, Northern Ireland and started played snooker at the age of 8 when her family moved to England. On her 21st birthday she won her first of four World Snooker Championships. In 1998 she moved to the United States and excelled at the next phase of her career, pocket billiards. Corr would become a staple champion for years to come until present day. Besides winning a multitude of WPBA titles, she is the only player in history to have won every WPBA tour title in a single season. She was recognized in 2012 as one of the greatest players that ever played the game when she was inducted into the BCA Hall of Fame.

The AM8.com Queens Cup brings a level of excitement and pressure never before seen in women's billiards. On April 16th, The Empresses of Pool Battle for Glory.
