Light-Heavyweight Prospect Medzhid "B-52" Bektemirov Improves To 15-0 With 1st Round KO PhilBoxing.com Mon, 16 Mar 2015 HOUSTON, TEXAS (March 16, 2015) - This past Friday night at the "Battle on the Mainland" card which took place at the Charles Doyle Convention Center in Texas City, TX, Light-Heavyweight bomber, Medzhidm "B-52" Bektemirov (15-0, 12 KOs) overpowered James Johnson (28-45-4, 17 KOs), stopping the veteran in the 1st round of their scheduled 6-round bout. A plethora of powerful body blows by B-52 let to a big straight right hand that landed flush on the head of Johnson which led to the bout being stopped. Co-promoted by Gary Shaw Productions and Savarese Promotions, B-52 is on a mission to take over the Light Heavyweight division. With tremendous power in both hands and great footwork, Bektemirov believes in his ability to become a world champion one day. "With each fight I'm getting better," said B-52, "I'm blessed to have power in both of my hands so I can knock you out with either one. Ronnie Shields, who is one of the best trainers in boxing, has me working on moving my head and defense. Gary Shaw and Lou Savarese have promised to keep me busy so I'm going to get back in the gym as soon as possible to start perfecting my craft.
