 MP CUP WORLD  BILLIARDS: BIADO ENTERS SEMIS; KIAMCO, CHUA FALL

 GENERAL SANTOS CITY -- World number 10 Carlo Biado kept the Philippine flag flying after his two compatriots, Warren Kiamco and Johann Chua fell in contrasting fashion during the quarterfinal matches in the ongoing MP Cup 10-Ball World Championship at the SM City Gensan Saturday afternoon here.
 
 Biado, from La Union, led all the way during his match with China's Liu Haitao to beat the Chinese, 11-7.  Kiamko surrendered to the sensational Taiwanese teen-ager Ko Ping Chung, 3-11 while Johann Chua lost to Spain's David Alcaide, 9-11 after Alcaide broke a 9-9 tie. In an all-Taiwanese matchup, Ko Pin Yi defeated Yang Ching Shun, 11-7.
 
 Carlo Biado will now face Spain's David Alcaid in the semi-finals while the Taiwanese brothers of Ko Pin Yi, 25, and Ko Ping Chung, 19, face each other in the semi-finals.
 
 Match time is at 1:00 p.m.
