PhilBoxing.com

Parrenas (R).

WBO Oriental super flyweight champion Warlito Parrenas defends his title against tough Indonesian challenger Hengky Baransano in the main event of a loaded fight card promoted by Edgar De Castro and Ryuta Kato of United Boxing Promotions at the San Dionisio Multi Purpose Gym along Quirino Avenue, Paranaque.

Parrenas won the vacant title when Junior Bajawa of Indonesia who had a soplid record of 14-2 with 7 knockouts retired in the 6th round last June 7, 2014.

In his first title defense in an action-packed card in Taal, Batangas last October 4, the lanky Parrenas who also uses the name Wars Katsumata since he?s been fighting out of Japan, scored a comfortable unanimous ntwelve round decision over game Indonesian challenger Espinos Sabu whose father in a Filipino.

The 31 year old Parrenas used a stinging left jab and solid one-two combinations which are his forte, to overcome Sabu whose solid defense was key to his survival.

Once again Parrenas is expected to use his ring savvy to overcome another Indonesian challenger Baransano who is coming off a 4th round knockout over Dedy Junior.

Parrenas has a record of 20-6 with 17 knockouts while Baransano has a record of 11-4 with 4 knockouts and hopes to stem the tide of Indonesian defeats against Parrenas.

In his first defense of the WBC Youth super flyweight 23 year old Rene Dacquel battles undefeated 21 year old Jhalel Payao of the Omega Boxing Gym of Cebu who has an impressive, unbeaten record of 10-0 with 6 knockouts and is certain to give Dacquel all he coukd handle.
Dacquel won the vacant title with an 8th round knockout of Manard Abila in Taal, Batangas last October 4 and is expected to go flat out to retain his newly-won title.

Philippine flyweight champion Ardin Diale facesd Indonesian veteran Ricky Manufoe in a ten round, non tile bout that is sure to spice up the proceedings.

Diale has a record of 25-9-3with 12 knockouts and is coming off a 10th round TKO in a title defense against young Jenie Boy Buca last November 8 while Manufoe who sports a nrecord of 23-21-2 with 10 knockouts lost by a 4th round knockout in his last fight on June 25 to talented Thai Rusalee Samor.
