VILORIA FIGHTS ARMANDO VAZQUEZ AS HE CONTINUES BID FOR ANOTHER WORLD TITLE SHOT
By Ronnie Nathanielsz PhilBoxing.com Sun, 30 Nov 2014

Former two division world champion Brian Viloria will fight Mexico?s Armando ?Chiquita? Vazquez as he continues his bid for another world title shot following the loss of his WBO/WBA flyweight titles to tough Juan Francisco Estrada by a split decision on April 6, 2012 in Macau.
It will be the 34 year old Viloria?s third comeback fight after the Estrada loss and will take place at the Civic Auditorium in Glendale, California on December 6.
In his first comeback fight Viloria scored a ten round unanimous decision over Juan Herrera last March 29 and followed this up with an impressive 5th round knockout of Jose Alfredo Zuniga whom he outclassed last July 19.
The former IBF/WBO light flyweight champion and WBO/WBA flyweight champion has been training hard at the Wild Card Gym of Freddie Roach and has been working with Filipino assistant trainer Marvin Somodio.
Vazquez, who has a record of 21-11 with 4 knockouts is coming off a eleventh round unanimous decision loss to undefeated Alexis Diaz (14-0, 9 KO?s) in a clash for the WBA Fedelatin minimum weight title last August 30.
He had also lost by a 7th round TKO to Felipe Salguero in a scheduled ten round bout on August 23, 2013.
Salguero is the same fighter who dropped a twelve round unanimous decision to WBO light flyweight champion Donnie Nietes on June 2, 2012 and also lost by an 11th round TKO to IBF champion Johnreil Casimero on October 6, 2013.
Top Rank promoter Bob Arum earlier told us that Viloria is likely to get a title shot at China?s undefeated flyweight Zou Shiming should the former two-time Olympic gold medalist win a planned title fight against reigning IBF champion Amnat Ruenroeng on March 8, 2015 at the Cotai Arena in Macau.
