AGUELO STOPS MAKILING FOR THE ASIAN BOXING FEDERATION TITLE By Maloney L. Samaco PhilBoxing.com Sun, 21 Sep 2014 Adones Aguelo also known as Aguelo A. Singwangcha won the Asian Boxing Federation (ABF) super featherweight title by 8th round TKO against Bonnie Makiling in the main event of the boxing card dubbed "Pinaksitay sa Talisay" last night at the Talisay City Sports Complex. Aguelo now sports the name of his Thai boxing manager and promoter Naris Singwangcha. His record improved to 22-10-2 with 14 KO wins. Aguelo?s TKO win was due to a cut around Makiling?s right eye. His international experience proved to be a great advantage over the less seasoned Makiling. In other featured bouts, Canoy J. Singwangcha of General Santos City got a unanimous decision win over Ryan Bahala of Davao City, Boyose A. Singwangcha of Cebu City won by UD against Jaime Barcelona of Bukidnon, Valero G. Singwangcha of Mandaue also won by 3rd round TKO over Arlon Batingal of Compostela Valley, while Tabanao J. Singwangcha of Panabo City also won by UD over Jhoas Aparecio of Bukidnon. He stopped Hiroto Fukuhara at 1:26 of the eighth and final canto in Okayama, Japan. Fukuhara was hospitalized after his surprising defeat after leading on points. Lately, in the World Boxing Council super featherweight eliminator, WBC No. 2 rated contender Mexican Sergio ?Yeyo? Thompson scored a ten round unanimous decision over Aguelo in Mexico. Thompson dropped Aguelo at the end of round six with a big right hand and coasted along to a 96-93, 97-92, 96-93 unanimous decision. Born in Brgy.
