FIL-AM MARK MUNOZ TO FIGHT DUTCHMAN GEGARD MOUSASI IN UFC FIGHT NIGHT 41

Fil-American Mark Munoz (13-4 MMA) will meet Dutchman Gegard Mousasi (34-4-2 MMA) in a middleweight bout at UFC Fight Night 41 that will take place on place May 31, 2014 at O2 World Berlin in Germany.
Prior to joining the UFC, Mousasi was a former DREAM champion. He came to the UFC after the closure of the Strikeforce and merged with the UFC. Because of his strong fighting resume, he was fitted against Alexander Gustafsson in his promotional debut with the UFC, but Gustaffson was sidelined because of injury just days before the fight and was replaced by Ilir Latifi, a relatively unknown MMA fighter. As a result, Mousasi beat him by unanimous decision.
Mark Munoz, in this scheduled fight, is expected to bounce back from a loss last October 2013 at UFC Fight Night 30 in Manchester, England. In the said event, Munoz fought his friend and former training partner, Lyoto Machida in the main event. Machida won by stoppage with a head-kick in the first round.
Prior to that fight in 2013, Munoz beat middleweight fighter Tim Boetsch at UFC 162 after a long rest because of injuries. With the victory, he was back in the win column after suffering a knockout loss to Chris Weidman, which snapped a four-fight winning streak for the two-time All-American wrestler.
The fight is expected to be an explosive fight as the two fighters are both relentless in their attacks and have a never-say-die attitude.
