NBA -- Knicks extend series to a Game 6

NEW YORK The New York Knicks staved off elimination Thursday night by taking Game 6 of the Eastern Conference semifinal over the Indiana Pacers, 85-75, at the Madison Square Garden. .
Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony led all scorers with 28 points while Chris Copeland and J.R. Smith scored 13 points each. Raymond Felton did a little bit of everything with 12 points, five rebounds and four assists. The Knicks continued their struggles against the Pacers defense, shooting just 32 of 78 from the field and only 7-for-18 from 3-point range.
New York power forward Amare Stoudemire continued to struggle in his return from injury and had only two points and two rebounds in six minutes.
The Pacers got 23 points, six rebounds and six assists from All-Star Paul George. David West tallied 17 and 10 boards while point guard George Hill was unable to play following a concussion he suffered in Game 4. Hills' replacement, D.J. Augustin, chipped in 12.
The Pacers, who still leads this best-of-7 series 3-2, host Game 6 Saturday night at the Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. (RS).
