Pacers whip Knicks, take 2-1 series lead

NEW JERSEY -- The Indiana Pacers beat the New York Knicks, 82-71, in Game 3 of their Eastern Conference semifinal at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Pacers center Roy Hibbert dominated the paint with 24 points and 12 rebounds. David West also registered a double-double with 11 points and 12 boards while George Hill chipped in 17 points as the Pacers took a 2-1 lead in this best-of-seven series.
Carmelo Anthony led the Kicks with 21 points but no other Knick scored in double figures. Amare Stoudemire returned to action for the first time in two months and contributed seven points.
The Pacers out-rebounded the Knicks 53-40 and held the edge on offensive boards 18-10.
Game 4 will be on Tuesday May 14 in Indianapolis.
