LABAO, MARCIAL KO FOES IN CALAMBA

Philippine lightweight king Rey Labao successfully defended his title for the first time with a first-round technical knockout victory over fourth-ranked Giovanni Rota in their championship duel last night in Calamba, Misamis Occidental.
With the win, Labao is now looking at a possible Japan stint on April 19 against Taisho Ozawa in Tokyo.
Also last night, comebacking Anthony 'Rocky' Marcial easily dispatched of Roland Teofilo via second-round technical knockout. This fight is Marcial's first since 2011 following in injury that kept him sidelined for almost two years.
