NBA -- Warriors suffer fourth consecutive loss By Ryan Medida PhilBoxing.com Sun, 03 Mar 2013 SAN FRANCISCO -- Stephen Curry scored 30 points and his backcourt tandem Klay Thompson added 29, but it still wasn't enough to prevent the Golden State Warriors from losing their fourth straight, this time at the hands of the Philadelphia 76ers, 104-97, Saturday night at the Wells Fargo Center. After exploding for 31 points and taking an 11-point lead after one quarter, the Warriors seemed poised to finally end their losing spell. But the Sixers, who's had their own struggles, fought back and scored 31 points each in the second and third quarters, setting the stage for their come-from-behind triumph. Jrue Holiday topscored for the Sixers with 27 while Evan Turner came to within a whiff of a triple-double with 22 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists. Royal Ivey added 17 points and Thaddeus Young sizzled with 14 and 16 rebounds. After a slow start, Philadelphia ended up making 44 of its 85 field goals and 12 of their 18 three-point shots. "Our past few games, the ball has gone in and out.Obviously, when shots are going in, you're more lethal ad that's pretty much it," a giddy Turner told NBA.com. On the other end, there was only frustration. "We got away from who we are. We were careless, we turned the basketball over, we didn't defend at the same level. We made mistakes, let go of the rope and paid because any team in this league, when you don't put them away and allow them to gain some life, you're dealing with a different animal," Golden State head coach Mark Jackson lamented. At 33-27, the Warriors dropped to sixth place in the Western Conference while the 23-34 Sixers remain far out of the playoffs in the Eastern Conference.
