NBA -- Warriors nip Spurs in OT thriller (Photos) By Ryan Medida PhilBoxing.com Sun, 24 Feb 2013 ![]() Jarrett Jack playing a high pick en roll with David Lee. OAKLAND -- The Golden State Warriors came from 13 points down in the fourth and rallied past the San Antonio Spurs, 107-101, in overtime Friday night at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California. It was the Warriors' second straight win after enduring a six-game losing streak prior to the All-Star break and they snapped a 16-game losing streak at the hands of a tough San Antonio team, which hold the best record in the NBA with a 44-13 slate. The Spurs, which held only a precarious one-point lead -- 68-67- heading into the fourth quarter, opened the final frame with a 12-0 run that pushed their advantage to 80-67 with just under nine minutes to play. But the Warriors dealt with adversity nicely and answered with a 13-0 of their own to knot the score at 80-80 with still 6:11 to go. Warriors guard Jarrett Jack made a 3-pointer with seconds left in regulation to put the Warriors ahead, 93-91. But Spurs star Manu Ginobili took advantage of Golden State's defensive lapse and scored an uncontested lay-up the other way sending the game into overtime. Jack had a season-high 30 points and 10 rebounds while All-Star David Lee notched his 35th double-double of the season with 25 points and 22 boards.. "He's carried us at times, been a great voice in our locker room, He's a great competitor and he's been outstanding since day one. When you look at our record and where we are sitting, how you could ignore what he has done for us off the bench and having calming effect. With all due respect to what Jamal Crawford has done for Los Angeles Clippers and with all due respect to what J.R. Smith has done for the New York Knicks, Jarrett Jack has been the best Sixth man all year long," Golden State Warriors head coach Mark Jackson said during the post game interview. Stephen Curry finished with 18 points and six assists to help push the Warriors over the hump on a night when Andrew Bogut was not available due to back spasm. Danny Green scored 20 points and Tim Duncan had 19 points and 18 rebounds for the NBA leading Spurs, who had won five straight and 16 of 17 overall. San Antonio fell to 6-2 on it's Rodeo road trip. "They were packing in everybody in the paint. They did a good job tonight," said Tony Parker, who shot 7-of-18 from the floor. The Golden State Warriors are heading East for a 5 game road trip while the San Antonio Spurs are flying to the desert to face the Phoenix Suns, ending their 9 game road trip.
