TOP RANK brings live boxing on Saturday February 23rd at the C. Robert Lee Activities Center in Hawaiian Gardens, CA.

Los Angeles, CA- On Saturday, February 23rd, big time boxing is back in the Los Angeles area, as the first big Televised show on the year will be presented by Top Rank and televised on UNIMAS (Formerly Telefutura) on their very popular ''SOLO BOXEO'' Tecate series at the C. Robert Lee Center in Hawaiian Gardens, CA.

Double header promises fireworks, as headliners, Chris Avalos and Jessie Magdaleno, both Super Bantamweight bangers sport an impressive 33 wins, 28 KO's with only two losses combined record.

Their respective opponents, battle-tested veterans in Mexico's Jose Luis Araiza 29-7-1, (22KOs) and Dominican Leivi Brea 19-10-3 (10KOs) will need all of their experience and guile in order to defeat the younger men.

The 21-year old Jessie Magdaleno 13-0, (9KOs), hailing from Las Vegas Nevada, and younger brother of world ranked Super Featherweight Diego Magdaleno is a southpaw with huge power in both fists will face off against Leivi Brea, and will be more than happy to test his opponent's whiskers, as he looks to add another KO win to his ledger.

Chris Avalos, 20-2, (15KOs) hailing from Lancaster California, is looking to make an statement, as the sharp-shooter is coming off a unanimous decision over Yenifel Vicente last August.

Avalos could easily be undefeated, as both of his losses came via tight-split decisions. An impressive outing would elevate the 23-year old fighter into possible title contention.

The rest of the card:

Michael Finney 9-0 (7KOs) Vs. Jesus Vallejo 5-8-1 (5KOs) in a 6 Round Welterweights bout.

Erik DeLeon 1-0 (1KO) takes on David Castillo 3-5 in a four round Lightweight fight.

Also featured will be KO artist, Light Heavyweight Trevor McCumby 9-0 (8KOs) along with Featherweight Toka-Kahn Clary 3-0-0-1 (2KOs), Featherweight Edgar Valero 2-0 (2KOs) and a pair of pro-debut fighters in Featherweight Pedro Duran and also Hawaiian Gardens own Super Lightweight Danny Ramirez.

The festivities begin at 6:30PM, doors open at 6:00PM

Tickets are priced at $30 and $50 dollars.
