Highland Boxing Promotions Presents: "Champions Arise," The WIBA World Title Triple Header May 30 at SpacePlus in Bangkok Thailand PhilBoxing.com Tue, 07 May 2024 BANGKOK, Thailand – Filipino boxing girls Carleans "Chay" Rivas and Norj Guro, as well as Hong Kong warrior lady Sheau Ru Yang will have their golden dreams come true when they climb the square ring to battle for boxing world titles. The three girls will wage wars for WIBA (Women's International Boxing Association) world belts in the coming Highland Boxing Promotions show taking place on Thursday, May 30, at the plush SpacePlus Night Club, RCA Plaza, here in Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand. Highland Promoters Supanat Chamran and Brico Santig have announced details of the exciting historic production, in which three Asian girls will fight for world crowns in the same show. For Sheau Ru Yang of Hong Kong The Sky is the Limit In the main event, cute and unbeaten 29-year-old Sheau Ru Yang (5-0) of Hong Kong, who is also a black belt in Kung Fu, will clash hard against tough and more-experienced Thanwarat Banphoo of Thailand for the WIBA Super Bantamweight (122 lbs) World Title. In the co-feature, Filipina southpaw Norj Guro (12-8-1, 4 KO's) of Iligan City, Lanao del Norte, will climb the ring to battle local Thai girl Wisuta Singmanatsak (6-3) for the WIBA Atomweight (102 pounds) world championship. In another world title battle, beautiful Pilipina Carleans "Chay" Rivas (8-7-4) of Angono, Rizal, will lock horns against former Muay Thai combatant Panumad Pet Waynit (4-4) for the WIBA Light Flyweight (108 pounds) World Strap. MANY MORE FIGHTS: In one of the hot supporting bouts, Filipino Jimmy Paypa (19-6-1, 7 KO's) from the Queen City of the South, Cebu, will see action in a 10-rounder clash for the vacant ABF (Asian Boxing Federation) Interim Welterweight Title. This international Highland boxing event will also feature Australian boxers, woman super welterweight fighter Connie Chang (3-7) of Brisbane, Queensland, and light heavyweight Matt Floyd (9-0) of Perth, Western Australia. Also, Azerbaijan boxers are in the line up: Bridgerweight Taryet Jafarov (28-7, 26 KO's) of Baku, and Middleweight slugger Ismat Guliyev (14-0, 12 KO's) of Gadabay will also trade leather against dangerous foes in 10-rounders for WBC Asia titles. Moreover, fast and promising Douglas Lee Kien Yoong (2-0, 2 KO's) of Melbourne, Australia, by way Malaysia, will fight in a 6-rounder battle in the middleweight division. Chinese boxers are scheduled as well: undefeated 30-year-old heavyweight Yize Jiang (2-0), and 31-year-old welterweight Yeerlan Nuerlanbieke (8-1-1) from the City of Urumqi in the Autonomous territory of Xinjiang will see action in non-title bouts. Last, but not least, 28-year-old Armenian warrior Mikael Arutyunyan (8-1, 5 KO's) of Sisian will do battle in a non-title 8-round rumble in the featherweight division. Billed as "Champions Arise," this entertaining show can be watched LIVE from the YouTube channel and Facebook Page of the promoter Highland Boxing Promotions.
