NBA -- CP3 strikes again, Clippers win in Philly
By Ryan Medida PhilBoxing.com Wed, 13 Feb 2013

SAN FRANCISCO -- The Los Angeles Clippers concluded their brutal eight-game road trip in wining fashion by beating the Philadelphia 76ers, 107-90, yesterday at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
All-Star court general Chris Paul guided the Clippers to the easy W, notching 21 points and 11 assists. Power forward Blake Griffin had 20 points and 10 rebounds while Jamal Crawford came off the bench with 20 as Los Angeles finished its road trip at 4-4 and improved their record to a Pacific Division leading 37-17 slate.
"He controlled the whole game. That's what great players do," Clippers head coach Vinny Del Negro told NBA.com of his ace point guard's exploits.
The Sixers were never in this one. They trailed 56-33 at the half and were outscored 32-26 in the third quarter as the Clippers shot 58.7 percent from the field and 42.1 percent from 3-point range. Matt Barnes and Eric Bledsoe combined for 21 points and eight assists for Los Angeles.
Nick Young paced Philadelphia with 29 points and five assists while Jeremy Pargo, Evan Turner and Jrue Holiday chipped in 10 apiece. The Sixers connected on 35 of 84 shots and nine of 18 threes, but they were out rebounded 43-37 and lost the assists battle, 29-27.
"I felt they had everything going tonight," said Young, whose terrific 10-for-18 shooting went down the drain against the more talented clippers.
It was the last of the Sixers' long eight-game stand at the Wells Fargo Center, finishing the stint at 5-3. Their overall record fell to 22-28. (RM)
