NBA -- Warriors gun for four in a row By Ryan Medida PhilBoxing.com Tue, 04 Dec 2012 SAN FRANCISCO -- As a rookie head coach in last year's lockout-infested season, Mark Jackson steered the Golden State Warriors to a woeful 23-43 record that was third worst in the entire Western Conference. But in just a season's span. Jackson's young chargers have done a lot of growing up. "We're learning to finish ballgames, we're learning to execute. We're learning how to value possessions and we're learning how to defend," Jackson, a retired NBA player who logged several meaningful years in the league, told NBA.com of his team's modest success thus far. All these improvements have amounted to a 10-6 Warriors record which is good enough for the top spot in the Pacific Division alongside the star-studded Los Angeles Clippers. And Monday night at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, Golden State hopes to continue its stride. Hosting the Orlando Magic at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, the Warriors shoot for their fourth straight win, a feat that's never been accomplished under the Jackson regime. The Warriors were a dismal 12-21 at home last season. This season, they are a formidable 6-2. The Clippers, Denver Nuggets, Dallas Mavericks, Minnesota Timberwolves Indiana Pacers and Atlanta Hawks are among the Warriors' notable victims. And like usual, they will pin their hopes on their four top scorers when they meet Orlando --- Stephen Curry (18.6), David Lee (17.1), Klay Thompson (15.3) and Carl Landry (14.3). But the Magic will be a tough beat. They stormed past the Lakers 113-103 Sunday night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Although logging just a 6-10 slate, the confidence-building conquest over the Lakers could also carry Orlando past Golden State.
