NBA -- Bucks erase 27-point deficit, stun Bulls By Alexander Gardunio PhilBoxing.com Tue, 27 Nov 2012 CHICAGO -- The Milwaukee Bucks scored a stunning upset Monday night, rallying from 27 points down to beat the Chicago Bulls, 93-92 at the United Center. The come from behind victory snapped the Bucks' season-long three-game skid and it also ended their nine-game losing streak against the Bulls, a drought that has spanned since April 6, 2010. After falling behind 78-51 with only 2:50 left in the third quarter, Bucks head coach Scott Skiles pulled out his starters in favor of a bench that played hard-nosed defense and went on a 31-4 run that completely wiped out the deficit and set the stage for a see-saw finish. The reserves then finished the job with a 30-12 fourth quarter bomb. When the carnage was over, the Bucks bench scattered a total of 56 points with Ersan Ilyasova leading the way with 18 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the field. Ekpe Udoh and Beno Urdih each had 11 while Doron Lamb and Mike Dunleavy Jr combined for 14. The Bucks ended up 39-of-85 from the field (45.9 percent), 3-for-15 from 3-land (20 percent) and 12-of-19 from the charity stripe (63.2 percent). "You just walk down the game to 18, to 16, to 12, to eight -- which is what we did," Bucks coach Scott Skiles told NBA.com of the patience his team manifested by slowly chipping off the huge Bulls lead. Veteran Richard "Rip" Hamilton did all he could, scoring a game-high 30 points for the Bulls but his potential game-winning jumper near the foul line harmlessly bounced off the rim as time expired. Carlos Boozer finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds while Kirk Hinrich had 17 and six assists. Luol Deng missed seven of 11 shots and settled with 10 points. "The key thing is 48 minutes. If you don't play hard with the lead, this is what happens," Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau told reporters during the post-game press conference. Chicago fell to 6-7 in the standings while the Bucks rose to 7-5 to lead the Central Division. The Bulls hope to get past this nightmare in time for the Dallas Mavericks Wednesday night at the United Center where the Bulls have a four-game home stand.
