Arum and Team Marquez Excited on Pacquiao-Marquez IV By Rich Mazon PhilBoxing.com Sun, 16 Sep 2012 Las Vegas, NV- After all the drama and the delay regarding Manny Pacquiao's next fight, Bob Arum expressed relief that the Filipino fighter has finally made his choice. Pacquiao will fight his long time nemesis in the ring, Juan Manuel Marquez for the fourth time on December 8th at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. "I am looking forward to it. It's going to be a great fight. I know Manny is very excited," said Arum. The promoter is waiting for the Filipino icon who was on his way to Los Angeles when I spoke to Arum Friday afternoon. Pacquiao left Manila Friday night to finalize the said fight with Top Rank. He arrived yesterday with wife Jinkee and key members of his team. He is expected to sign the contract and launch the press tour next Monday in downtown Los Angeles. The boxer-entertainer will also be doing a live entertainment show in Los Angeles on Sunday in front of his Filipino fans. Arum states that the press tour for Pacquiao and Marquez will start on Monday with stops in New York and Mexico City. "Monday, the press tour will start and I think it's going to be a definitive result." Arum told Philboxing.com that there will be no more rematches after this fourth fight between the two. "This will be it!" said the promoter. Marquez was present today at the weigh in between fellow mexican Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Argentinean Sergio Martinez. I asked the Mexican legend what his feelings are after landing the fourth Pacquiao fight. "I feel very excited, because I want this fight and the people want it this fight too," Marquez told this writer. Marquez looks at another thriller of a fight between him and Pacquiao. Their previous three fights ended in two close decision victories for Pacquiao and a draw. "It's another great challenge for me," Marquez expressed. Marquez's promoter Fernando Beltran of Zanfer Promotions shares his ward's excitement as well. "I'm very excited. I'm very excited because finally Juan Manuel Marquez will get his opportunity to clear the scenario. I feel that he's going to get the best of him (Pacquiao)," said Beltran. "I hope he prepares correctly because it will be a tough fight," added Beltran. The Mexican promoter even went further by predicting that there will be a knock-out when the two meet in the ring for the fourth time. "This time it's going to be a knockout. I don't know who's going to be knocked out but it's going to be a knockout." And another chapter of the Pacquiao - Marquez saga begins.
