IS BRADLEY GETTING WHAT HE DESERVES?

PhilBoxing.com

At the MGM Casino Resort last June, a great robbery occurred. It was so glaring that it even led my friend from Canada?s FightFan.com, Ace Freeman to report it to a cop nearby.

Of course Freeman was kidding and the cop knew it too.

But the robbery was real.

Oh no, nobody held up the casino. It?s nothing like that.

But mind you, it was a greater caper than that pulled by Ocean?s Eleven. Ocean and his friends got nothing, but the guys that pulled it last June got everything.

Of course I am referring to the judges that robbed Manny Pacquiao of his title and handed it over to Tim Bradley with his twisted foot and all.

Alex Groberman of ?OpposingViews? put it so succinctly:- Everyone with working eyes and functional brains saw Pacquiao dominate.?

I would not go so far as implying that the two judges that scored the fight for Bradley have no functional brains.

But certainly, that night they were functionally blind.

At the very least, they were watching another fight.

So Bradley was wheeled away (yes, in a darn wheel chair) with the belt strapped on him. He, according to the judges was the new champion,

Of course the official records say so. But nothing can be so far from the truth. Bradley did not beat Pacquiao that night in any manner, shape or form.

Now that Pacquiao is due to fight again, Bradley is left in limbo. The poor sucker can not get his fight life straight as Pacquiao left him hanging in the air. He can?t even arrange another fight hoping against all hopes that Pacquiao may still pick him.

The ?re-match? that Bradley tout even before he fought Pacquiao may not be happening.

Pacquiao as of this writing has not decided whom to fight if ever he decides to fight again this year.

In fact no fight date is set in stone despite Bob Arum saying that he reserved the MGM for Pacquiao for December 8th.

So is Pacquiao being fair with Bradley?

Of course not!

But then again why should he, when Bradley to many is just a ?paper champion?.

More importantly, Bradley does not fill seats to warrant another fight with a PPV star that is Pacquiao.

One can?t help but feel bad for Bradley.

But on the other hand, if Bradley honestly looked at all the facts, the June fight tape included, the most decent thing he could have done was to admit that he really did not win the fight.

Returning the belt would have added wonders to his credibility.

Doing so would have gotten more respect from Pacquiao and who knows, perhaps even a ?re-match?.

But he did not.

All of a sudden he became filled with delusions of grandeur.

On top of that he said that Pacquiao is scared of him.

That to my book is not a guy that deserves another dance with Pacquiao.

On the other side of the coin, you know what really sucks?

With the crazy fickle minds that run the sports, now that Miguel Cotto has ruled himself out, Bradley has as good a chance as Juan Ma. Marquez to land another fight with Pacquiao.

Would you believe its 50-50?

Ha, boxing!
