INTERNATIONAL BOXING HALL OF FAME TO ANNOUNCE CLASS OF 2025 ON THURSDAY, DECEMBER 5th PhilBoxing.com Sat, 23 Nov 2024 New inductees to be honored in Canastota during 2025 Hall of Fame Induction Weekend set for June 5-8 CANASTOTA, NY - NOVEMBER 22, 2024 - The International Boxing Hall of Fame will unveil the members of the Class of 2025 on Thursday, December 5th at 1 pm (EST). Inductees will be named in the following categories: Men and Women’s Modern, Old-Timer, Pioneer, Non-Participant, Observer and Women’s Trailblazer. Members of the Boxing Writers Association of America and an international panel of boxing historians cast votes. Voters from Japan, England, Canada, Argentina, Australia, The Netherlands, Germany, Mexico and the United States are among those who participated in the election process. “The Hall of Fame’s annual announcement is an exciting and highly anticipated moment for the boxing community. All eyes turn to Canastota to see who will be among the new honorees," said Executive Director Edward Brophy. "All inductees will receive a permanent place on the Hall of Fame Wall and living inductees will be presented with a gold Hall of Fame Ring at the Official Induction Ceremony.” “The Hall of Fame is very much looking forward to welcoming the worldwide boxing community back to ‘Boxing’s Hometown’ in June to celebrate the new inductees and the entire sport of boxing,” continued Brophy.
