Saturday: Bakary Samake-Wade Ryan & Elwin Soto-Moisés Caro Headline Separate Fight Cards Streaming LIVE on ESPN+ PhilBoxing.com Thu, 21 Nov 2024 Samake-Ryan tops bill from Paris starting at 12:30 p.m. ET/9:30 a.m. PT Soto-Caro streams live from Mexicali, Mexico, at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT (Nov. 20, 2024) — Two action-packed cards with international flavor will stream live and exclusively in the U.S. on ESPN+ this Saturday, Nov. 23. The fight marathon begins at Canopée Westfield Forum des Halles in Paris at 12:30 p.m. ET/9:30 a.m. PT. French superstar Bakary Samake battles Australian veteran Wade Ryan for the vacant WBC silver junior middleweight strap in the 12-round main event. The fisticuffs continue from Plaza de Toros Calafia in Mexicali, Mexico, at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, when former world champion Elwin Soto returns against Moisés Caro in a 10-rounder for the WBO Latino light flyweight title. Samake (16-0, 8 KOs) is a three-year pro who previously won the IBF Youth junior middleweight title in March 2023. He kicked off his 2024 campaign in March with a 10-round unanimous decision over former European Union welterweight champion Ahmed El Mousaoui. In June, he turned away Chile’s Julio Alamos over 10 rounds. Ryan (22-11-1, 8 KOs), a southpaw from Gunnedah, Australia, has only been stopped once as a pro and is 2-0-1 in his last three fights. In March, he traveled to Tokyo and held local hero Takeshi Inoue to a 12-round draw. In October 2017, he knocked down then-unbeaten prospect Tim Tszyu in the opening round before dropping a unanimous decision. He won two fights in 2023 following a June 2022 decision defeat to former world champion Hekkie Budler. Caro (11-3-3, 5 KOs) is coming off a highly disputed split decision to Mexican countryman Miguel Nieblas Avendano in June.
