'TRAVIESO' ARCE FOR ONE LAST HURRAH TONIGHT
By Hesiquio Balderas PhilBoxing.com Sun, 31 Jan 2010

Jorge "Travieso" Arce will have one last chance for a world championship as he goes for the vacant WBO superflyweight title against Angky Angkota tonight in Plaza de toros "Antonio Velazquez" in Mexico, City.
Arce has stated that this may be his last fight if he loses tonight, but at the same time he is aware that training with Nacho Beristain gives him the motivation, the conditioning and the power he never had before, in other words, even when this is the third fight with Nacho Beristain is the first time he has taken it seriously and has payed full attention to Nacho's methods and he plans to fight a well disciplined fight as Beristain likes it.
Jorge will go to the ring with a record of 52 wins, 40 kos, against 6 defeats and a draw. he is only 30 years old. But after so many years as a professional fighter and so many wars in the ring some say he is not the same fighter and he doesn't have it anymore specially in his last fights against top competition like Mijares, Vic Darchinyan and more recently Simphiwe Nongqayi.
Yesterday at the weigh-in Jorge made weight at the first try while Angkota had to comeback half an hour later.
The expectations for tonight's fight is high, Jorge is a superstar, he is expected to win this fight but the fans and the media are not too confident as they used to be, Arce has also mentioned that this will be his last year as a professional fighter, the beginning of the end starts tonight.
