Catubig, Prado win Suy Foods Santa Run

LYKA Catubig of University of Mindanao Davao and Lloyd Prado of Maa topped the Suy Foods Santa Run 25-kilometer held today, December 14 at the NCCC Mall VP in Bajada, Davao City.
Catubig clocked one hour, 54 minutes and 37 seconds to win the women’s division.
“I was able to leave them in the last 500 meters already,” said Catubig.
Second was Yashara Daligdig at 1:55:15 followed by Mafe Willis [2:21:10].
The 28-year-old Prado of Spectrum won the 25k men’s division with a time of 1:30:48.
Prado, who lives in Kapatagan, took the lead in the first three kilometers already and never look back.
Veteran Elmer Bartolo of Flaspoint Runbart placed second at 1:36:39 followed by 50-year-old Angelito Vertudazo [1:49:59].
Eight-year-old Jayseen Cyn, who was celebrating her birthday today, took center stage when she won the 3k women’s division.
Second was Heart Mallorca [12:25] followed by Carla Luardo [14:10].
Race director Roel Amabao-Ano awarded the prizes together with host & Zumba instructor Feliz Navidad .
